Hole in the Rock question

Group of four (two vehicles) want to travel the Hole in the Rock Trail in July. Anyone available to help as a guide? Is there a better month than July?

July will be hotter than holy hell. 100's every day. I don't think it would be very enjoyable. May is the best month as the wildflowers peak then but it is also starting to get hot by Memorial Day. Spring and fall are the best times as the temps are so much cooler. I would not do it in the summer as it is just too hot to be enjoyable. Go this fall and not July.

We went a week before easter and it was perfect. I heard labor day that it is still alittle too warm.

We go every year the day after Thanksgiving with the Utah Bronco Club. You are welcome to Join us. Weather is great.

I'm going this Friday, hope it isn't too hot. Weather in Escalante is supposed to be in the 70's so it should be pretty nice

The trick to HITR in the summer is B.Y.O.Shade

And nobody is around , but the trail is harder to follow esp sandy areas
