I have genrights on my XJ I put on last October. I was super paranoid in the beginning but have never had an issue. I don’t daily drive but did drive a lot during winter.

<-----You can see where I installed GenRight vents on my hood. They work well to reduce underhood temps. Driven in all seasons and weather conditions with no negative effects.

As luck would have it, I have a brand-new, never installed GenRight TJ hood vent for sale for $30 AND I live in the area south of O-town, so we should chat. 801-390-9 zero 1 ate.

This unit is brand new, never installed. PN-LVR 1011, GenRight sells this part for $45.00
Designed to improve airflow through the engine compartment and extract heat, to reduce under-hood temperatures.
Designed for TJ, LJ, and YJ, but will work on just about any rigs hood with a flat or slight radius surface.
Made of aircraft grade aluminum and powder coated black, pre-drilled for rivets or screw-on application.
