I want to 'race' Hooptie X'! Anyone have a running, driving beater they want to sell?

"Head to Head Rallycross for crappy cars... or whatever you got!

WE'RE GOING BACK!!! HooptieX at Utah Motorsports Campus in Grantsville, Utah - Saturday 10/5 - 9am to 6:30pm.

WHAT TO EXPECT

For anyone that raced with us on the short track in Vegas in 2021, we're using the same format with some improvements. In short HEAD TO HEAD RACING against your piers in your class. How does this work? We are using the short track which is a "Lucas Oil style" course. It's wider than anything we have ever raced on and professionally managed and groomed. We will split the course into two lanes similar to Vegas 2021 and fastest car wins. Trading paint is always a possibility, and we're not encouraging that, but remember extra friction slows you down.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE RACING OR VOLUNTEERING read on...

VENUE: UTAH MOTORSPORTS COMPLEX - https://www.utahmotorsportscampus.com

Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) is a world-class, state-of-the-art motorsports and events venue located in Grantsville, Utah. The 511-acre facility, nestled in the Tooele Valley between the Oquirrh and Stansbury Mountains, is just 35 minutes from Salt Lake City.

MAIN GATE: The main gate is manned 24hrs a day. Entry is FREE to all racers and volunteers. Gate personnel will guide you to our site after hours if needed. EVERYONE will need to sign UMC's waiver upon entry, yes, in addition to ours.

CAMPING: UMC does have camping available for both tent and RV camping. Tent camping is near our track and RV camping is on the main paved paddock (see map on this event page). Camping IS ALLOWED FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT.

Tent Camping: $30/night. RV Camping: $30/night. ALL CAMPERS MUST RESERVE THEIR SPACE on their website - https://app.fireflyreservations.com/Kiosk/Property/UtahMotorsportsCampus

No wood burning fires. Contained gas or propane/oil OK.

There are also hotel/motel accommodations north in Lake Point or south in Toole if you don't like dirt. All are about 5-10 minutes from track. Current availability and/or trailer parking at said hotels is UNKNOWN. You are encouraged to call down yourself to check for availability.

SERVICES:

Bathrooms: On the south side of our track we have fully serviced bathrooms and showers. I've been around a few of you at our races... showers are good.

Food & Bev: UMC is hooking us up with some food trucks so youre covered there. There will also be a beer garden to enjoy RESPONSIBLY. Active racers are not allowed to drink if they are racing. Don't be dumb and try this, we'll boot you. We will have corresponding wristbands for bev service and racing.

Fuel: There is a gas station on site. Close to our track. Prices a bit more than market but its there if you need it.

Shop use: You will notice on the map that there are 10 garages. Most are leased to race teams. I am told one of these will be open for welding/repair work if needed. No excuses now, fix your ride and get back out on track.

Kindof off topic but the UMC (area) has a motorcross track that is open to the public on the weekends and maintained by Tooele County. Its pretty nice and i feel like no one knows about it, considering how much people complain about there being no local motorcross tracks.

That track is great! It’s well known but was built well enough to handle a very large crowd. They host pretty big races there throughout the year
