Hope this isn't too lame - propane question

I know the search for forklift bottles is often unrewarded. Too expensive, wrong size, damaged, etc. Is it possible to run BBQ grill propane bottles upside down to feed liquid propane to your vaporizer? I have a handy little adapter that lets me fill 16 ounce disposable bottles, and it works great. I know the pressure relief valve will be on the bottom instead of the top of the tank, but will that still work OK?? I'm not trying to build a better bomb, just get extra propane tanks ready for EJS.

Flame away -be sure to use the big weedburner! :D

You can use them upside down. That is what Cary at gotpropane does but only for a last resort. I just picked up two 15 gallon tanks from a guy in slc. Good deal I thought. He has more 10 gallon tanks if you want his number. The tanks are off 900e an around 1900 n.
Just saw your in wy, might be a little far of a drive to get them, but he does have them if your interested

Chocflip 201, thanks for the tip. If I can't score a tank locally, I'll see how much they cost.

James, we got Bec a Samurai based tube buggy 2 years ago. 1760 lb. total weight and lots of power with propane fueled 1.3L engine. You will like it.

blznnp, thanks for the tip on the forklift tanks, I will have to check them out. We get to SLC fairly regularly, so the drive is no problem.
