horseshoe springs, ut???

is anybody familliar with this place. I know it is west of grantsville, but that is all the info i have about the place. we are going camping out there next weekend and I want to know what to expect. the flyer says that there is a "horseshoe springs campground" that we will be staying at.

is there any fishing out that way or any good desert wheeling that i can look forward to? I could not find anything on my msn search. thanks

We used to go camping there every summer when I was in HS. Its located in Skull Valley the next valley West of Tooele and Grantsville. Its north of Iosepa, take I-80 to xt 77 then go south 5-10 miles. There are tons of trails on the east side of the road that run through the camp grounds and up the hill thats fun to play around on. Horseshoe springs is on the west side of the road a couple hundred feet. There should be signs. There is fish but w/ my luck we never caught any. I can't remember which kind of fish there are in there. Be prepared for the mosquitos. I have not explored too much there but we did hike all of our camping gear up really far along a rough dirt road and camped on the top of one of the lower mountain peaks. I need to get back out there soon.
