'49 Dodge Power Wagon is 6200 lbs. - weighed several times at truck pulls.

'67 Scout guessing it weighs about 5000 lbs. - D60 front, D70 rear with HEAVY IHC V-8.

Bec's Sami buggy weighs 1760 lbs. - weighed on certified scale.

idk about that i wish .. thats what austins weighs i think mine is a good weight and fairly balanced not to nose heavy .. get your truck done and get down here

Is that typical for a mog?

The one I pulled up a hill at Sandhollow a couple years ago was freakin' heavy.

Brett (plus my fuel pump was sucking...or wasn't)

Depends on the model and how it is equipped. The older gas engine 404 troop carrier weighs around 6500 or less, depending on how stripped down it is. A radio box or fire truck is around 8000.

Mine is a diesel 416 and 9000-9500 is about normal. The larger U1300 diesel models are probably closer to 13,000. These are all unladen weights with just a little trail gear. Mine is a 2 ton truck, so I think it is 13,500 at GVWR.

The largest mog, the U2450 has a GVWR of about 23,000.

I think I am off on my weight for the rig now. I forgot that I added a front winch, full sized spare, more tubing, doubler T-case, along with the front and rear four link, frame bracing, and such. I maybe closer to 5500 lbs than I thought. Anyone else have any guesses?

Damn I thought I would win at 6500lbs

That was the weight from a brake skid test a few years back with about 1/2 tank of gas (30 gallon tank)

(btw that does technically exceed the GVW of the truck)

87 bronco, 460, np435, np 203/205(200 lbs), d-60, gm 14 bolt (with drums)
massive skid plates, way too many tools and a bunch of extra parts...

I am great to have on the trail... unless my rig brakes or gets stuck... ask rondo about the pritchett run of 09 (or as I call it "winch fest 09")

so you can see why we are going to build a xj this winter ;)

(which of course I will end up having the heaviest xj around too...)

EFI 460 FOR SALE SOON!

Nathan

Or unless your driveline busts on Golden Spike :p

My junk weighs about 6k I've never weighed it by itself, but I have weighed it with other knowns - like the 1500 lb trailer under it, etc.
04 Rubicon, V8, D60's, 38's, etc
