How ironic...

Here's a funny story for everyone. We are in Moab and woke up this morning to a very sick little girl. After hanging out at the hotel for a while, we decided that Alyssa needed to lay low today so Chris suggested we take shifts in staying at the hotel. He'll take Brendon hiking for a few hours and then I can take Lemon Joy out. Yee ha! I immediately get on the phone and start looking for someone to go out with me. I find a group that's just coming off of Hell's and it's only 1:30, so I think we're good. WRONG. They can't go wheeling with me because they are going SHOPPING. Yes, 3 men chose shopping over going out for an hour or so on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Seriously, how's that for irony??

Not sure if it's ironic, but it's certainly uncalled for and rude. They should have answered your call for assistance when you were in need. -_-

Shopping for 4x4 parts I hope. :ugh:
Oh no. They were shopping on main street...

Thank you, that's exactly my point. I've never gotten the offer to take the girl out, all by myself. The chance of a lifetime and I couldn't find a single person to go with me.
You need better friends, give me a call............
Very good to know. The real question is, would you even answer my call??
Should have sent pictures;)
Tempting, if I would have gone out. I was sorely tempted to go somewhere, it just didn't seem like the wisest decision of the day. :( While no one can deny that Lemon Joy is just a party in a package, she's also, well...quite a biatch and just flat out dislikes me.

The last thing that I want to do when I leave this mall infested dung hole to go to Moab is go shopping when I get there :-\...Something sounds mighty fishy... maybe intimidation yep thats what it is they just didn't want to get spanked by a woman in a Bronco ...sheesh shopping what a lame excuse :D

The only excuse I can think of is if they were there without their families and had to buy moab garb for the kids at home before they left. That is the only time I do it.

Hey, that sounds pretty plausible. There might even be kid-hottub thing around there somewhere? At least that's how it might be if we were talking about me.

How is Alyssa?

Yeah, what's going on with her. Last I talked to you, her fever had broke, but she was still a little "down".

Hmmm, I like that theory! In real life though, I don't think I'm really all that intimidating in my diva sunglasses!

In their defense, that was exactly the case. The wives were all at home and the kids had actually requested the shopping. I had even called some other guys who were in town and they couldn't go out with me either due to watching the Daytona 500. It's really vastly amusing that the only girl out of everyone we knew in town couldn't find someone to wheel with!!

Thankfully, she is much better. After I talked to you, Marc, she said she was actually a bit hungry so we went to Zax's and she ate a little dinner. Then, after a good night's rest she was doing world's better. I was just really worried on Sunday with that nasty fever. She requested PSM yesterday though, so we ran that and she played in the sand and hiked around like her normal crazy self!

That's too funny. All the times I've been to Moab and have only been in the stores downtown once by myself, and that was on the way out of town to redeem a coupon for a free shirt. I have been in a few times iwth my wife, but that was after a good day of wheeling. Like Shawn said, you need better friends.
