2wd or 4wd? round headlights or square? rust? tires? interior?

rusted out 2wd, probably only 500

good shape 4x4, 2500

that would be me though.

far enough away
I'd go w/that

no more than $3500, if it was in really good shape.

And know that you will get 8-10mpg, but you can tow around 5k w/no effect on mileage LOL

I had once heard that you should only offer something that YOU could not refuse. Offer only as much so that, if he offered you the truck for that amount you could not refuse to buy it. Hope that makes sense.

Your question is way to broad to answer without more information. Does this truck even run? What are the known problems. Anything that has set for 5 years will most certainly have some seal problems. I guess if you can get it for cheap enough you can deal with the problems as they arise. Most people don't park a running vehicle for that long.

ok he said it runs, i have not been up close to the truck as its on his property and did not want to go snooping.

it is 2 wheel driver with a canopy and square headlights.

th400, 454 with new headers and exhaust. im taking some things so i can jump the battery and hear it run

i have no idea why he parked it other than he has a newer truck.

as for the mileage i got the same mileage in my friends 99 454 1 ton the other day a tank of gas to go to the snakes and back to layton.

mileage does not bother me as i will only use it a few times a year.

paint looked ok from a distance, i guess we will see more on wednesday

Square headlights, so its somewhere between 80 and 91. Id still offer between 500 and 1000. If its a later model you might get a tbi454

Throttle bodied motors started showing up in the 1987 model year, if I am not mistaken. Two wheel drive would be great if you only want to use it for a tow rig but, if you are thinking about driving this rig in the snow, mud, or any other type of terrain other than pavement then forget it. Duallys' suck in anything other than dry pavement. I hope it works out for you.

so went and looked at the truck today

front ends is wrecked needs new headlights and bumper and passanger fender and grille

needs one rear tire its bald

has grape vines growing into engine compartment and wraped around stuff under the vehicle.

interior is nice, of course could not hear it run has a half tank of 5 year old fuel in it.

has a carbed 454 in it with new headers

offered the guy 600 for it he said no he wants 1100 for it as it sits.

i think im going to let this one go im just not sure how much fuel work it will need to get it running again, as far as carb rebuild, fuel pump possible lines

along with front end work.

did find a 88 ford for 600 that runs and drives he says it needs work though we will see im going to look at it tomorrow.
