How often do you wheel?

I've been keeping a trail log for the last few years, and I just compiled everything the other day. In 2006, I went wheeling 49 times (mostly in the Moab area). Ran 24 different trails, with an average group size of just over 6 rigs. Did pritchett the most (10 times), followed by Area BFE (7 times) and Moab rim (6 times). These numbers are about average for the past 3 years.

Who can top that???

Definitely not me. I had about 5 trail days last year. Definitely not enough. (I've already got 9 days in Moab planned for this year, though) If the planets all align and someone from the area is hitting the Rubicon and needs someone else to go, I hope to do that as well.

I believe I am around high 30's low 40's, if we are counting wheeling days. A weekend being 2 days

I used to go atleast twice a week when I lived in Price (on local trails). I spent a lot of time in Moab over the past years because it was so close. But when I moved up north a couple years ago, I've only gotten out a few times a both years...

I can't wait for that to change.

4 times this year. That's almost a record. We are going to change that for next year. We used to go more when corner canyon was still open.

I can't wait to get moved down to Moab in 2008. We will do monthly Summit Trail runs. You know R&D stuff;)

Not at all anymore.

My interest and family life has changed enough that I just don't go anymore.

Actually I'm going to start writing a 'for sale' thread and see if I can't get rid of my rig to someone who'll use it.

But you are always welcome here on RME, even if you do sell your rig. We are kind of like a support group. :D

I (we) went more when my truck was stock. Lesser trails = less breakage= less repair costs.:(
But that's all going to change now that the kid can hold her own head up.
And the weather get's a little warmer.:)

We're at 45 days for this year. Now I would like to point out that this only includes wheeling in the Bronco, no weenie wheeling days in the tow rigs. The other factor this past year was that the Bronco was out of comission until the end of February so our wheeling season didn't start until then. And the crazy part of this story is we have to drive a minimum of 2 hours to get to any rockcrawling!! It's a nasty addiction....:D

I am probably close to that this year. Hells revenge 6 or 7 times, fins 'n things, about 3 times, moab rim 4 or 5 times, cliffhanger 4 or 5 times, half of killer kane, kane creek twice, poison spider about 4 times, steel bender 4 times, chicken corners, metal masher, twice, golden spike and pritchet once each, then I have been to delta twice this year and ran both cat canyon and chainsaw.
I have to say that moving to Moab, has sure helped my average trip count. :greg:

4 or 5 times a year. Usually two of them to Moab, one to St. George and the others up in the North. Used to go a lot more back in High School and before I started actually trying to graduate from college! But with that out of the way, I hope to get back into more it this coming summer.

my wheeling season started in in June... since then i've been on Metal Masher 1 time, half of Poison Spider Mesa, Pritchett 1 time, 1 near Richfield but i don't remember it's name'Frame Twister'??... Chainsaw near Delta 1 time, Forest Lake 6-7 times, rattlesnake 3 times, Constrictor 1 time... i think that's about it.

Hmmm... I'll have to put pen to paper and add them up but I have to be near 40-50 days on the trail. I've done 8 trail days in the last two weeks (HITR, SR Swell, & NPS trails near Powell )

EDIT:
U4 Winter Convention, SR Swell & Nine Mile Canyon (3)
Goblin Valley, Capitol Reef NP, & the Swell (3)
Wasatch Cruiser's Annual Moab Pre-Run (4)
EJS 2006, Moab Utah (4)
TLCA Cruise Moab 2006 (3)
Misc. AF Canyon (6)
Misc. West Desert (4)
U4 AFC Service Project (2)
WC Uintas Service Project (1)
Misc. Uintas (3)
Devils Racetrack & Eva Conover (2)
U4 Richfield (1)
U4 Delta (1)
San Juans, Colorado (4)
Skyline/Swell (3)
WC Fall Moab Run (3)
HITR/SR Swell (5)
Escalante/Powell Area (3)

Thats all I can think up... but many of those are overnight trips which I count as 2, and its hard to count trails as some trails take 4 days (HITR) and some you can do 5 "trails" in a day (San Rafael Swell)
