how the hell did this happen???

have you ever had a cd shatter .......in the drive????


the power has been flashing on and off this evening, the last time it happened the computer turned back on, and the cd drive opened. as it was trying to open the disk shattered. then it wouldnt stop trying to read the disk while the tray was open. i had to disconnect the drive to get it to stop. i think its time for a new drive.

i am not even sure what disk it was. i think it was one if the kiddies games.

The disk must hav had a deep scratch in it, Most 52+ speed CDRoms have a warning sticker on them that says don't put damaged disks in me.

My mom had one do that....I couldn't believe it when I opened the drive, looked just like that!!
