This one is for Cody since he needs business cards with a QR code on them so he can pick up the gamer chicks and the D&D cosplay babes...:rofl:

This is a great website with lots of options.

There are also apps available on android where you can generate a QR code on your phone screen and then let someone else scan it...its an easy way to transfer contact information and it allows two grown men to geek the hell out for a few seconds at the conclusion of a conversation about football or women's breasts.

I usually save the QR images and host them myself but I grab the images from the website and it usually works in a hotlink.

These were developed heavily in Japan and are actually a great way to get information quickly on something you are interested in. They print them in magazines and newspapers to make it easier to visit a particular website on a mobile device.

For instance this QR code takes you to our home page

Now I'm using shortened links because the more complex code, the more complex the QR image and the more complex the image, the longer it takes for the phone to zoom in and capture the code so remember to keep things brief.

Love that last one. Using my wife's $450 laptop and my moto droid it was quite fast (<3sec) :D

EDIT: and it even got it thru the flash reflection.

pretty much. Supports quite a bit of information, and coupled with some of the linking and processing capabilities of today's "smart" devices, they can be utilized in interesting and creative ways. *shrug
