Is there coverage in moab.

Is the coverage limited to the town or do they work on the trails also.

I know this is a vauge question but I have T-mobile and I need it for work I will need to be able to check voice mails and call back clients each day.

Will there be any issues with doing this?

Mine rings, and I answer it.

Seriously, I have AT&T and it works in town and on some trails. It doesn't work in canyons.

My Verizon works just fine down there. It works on some trails, but not everywhere.

Yep, if you are on a mesa with good visibility toward Moab (not line of site though) you can get a good signal. In any canyon - not so much. In Moab, normal coverage. I wouldn't worry.

-edit: I'm with Verizon though, no idea on T-mobile.

I think sprint works off of the verizon towers now. I switched from Sprint to Verizon because Sprint had 0 coverage in Moab. Verizon has been better in every regard anyway so it was a good switch.

I second Herzog's opinion, you should be fine. We're with Verizon and I have never had any trouble in Moab and have taken care of a lot of business from the front seat of my truck! It's actually kind of surprising all the places you do get service around there, but I live in the sticks so I'm easily amused! :)

Sprint works fine.....I'm on roam whenever I'm there (Verizon's network, thankfully roaming is free with Sprint.) I've made calls in the middle of Golden Spike.......

personally, I don't even bring my phone on the trails with me. I go wheelin to get away from the common douchebaggery of every day life.

I guess part of it is I used to not have a very good place to put it, but I never missed leaving it at the tow rig. Now I just turn it off, wrap it in a beanie or something, and stow it in my center console. I guess if something weird were to happen it could come in handy.

my life is predicated upon doing what i want, when I want, how I want. It's a pretty nice life :D

but, if you can attend to business and work from the trail, then thats ok in my book. I'd love to work from remote more often....I think in the next couple years I can make that happen.

I have T-mobile and I get about the same reception as AT&T and a little less than Verizon in Moab but still within reason from what I can tell... I think the phone you have has the biggest effect on the service from what I've seen.

I've made phone calls and text messages from Kane Creek on my quad before...VERIZON is the best coverage in our great state hands down! Verizon is pretty much the best for oil field work in Wyoming and eastern Utah.

I have T-mobile and I get service in town. I check my voice mail and check into work with no problem. I never have tried out on the trails go but I am sure it would not work.

x2.

I have made some calls with my Verizon service that I never thought would work out there. Just remember to bring a car charger since a weak signal will drain the batteries faster.
