The subject is 40-17-15 hawgs on 10 wide rims. I hand mounted em and I now am thinking of balancing em so i can drive clear to the trail head. I am lookin for CHEEP solutions. Anyone tried putting equal or bb's or something in the tires to balance em? Anyone know someone at a truck tire place?

I'm note sure about bb's, but equal sucks! Try Russ' Alignment. They are nice guys there.

I dunno if care. There are some 35 boggers with my name on em too. so I dunno. I don't want to pay for tires that aren't mine

Believe it or not, but I was reading several posts as some people were putting in antifreeze in their tires to balance. I thought it was crazy and all but more than one person has replied to that and have said it works. The only 2 problems is that it is toxic to envronment and if you get a hole it would be a pain to patch it.. Take it for what it is worth, I am triing to find the thread on it. If I do I will post it.

Where did you see this topic? I would use winshield washer fluid if that case was true. I I posted on pirate about just water. I just wanted to see how bad they'd flame the idea. Not much responce though. Oh and the tire busters would kill ya."BTW I have 2cups of water in the tire, be carefull when you dismount the tires" :D

i think the only problem with water is when it gets cold enough to freeze then you would have a serious problem of out of blaance tires.

Iused the antifreeze method on my old swampers, but I used the eviroment friendly type. That was before I learned about other options. Best bet is to contact a place like Fakler that does tires for Large trucks and other Machinery.

I ended up going to a tire shop on state and 3900 south. they did tractor tires. So they needed a big machine. 40 was the biggest. I think 16.5 was the widest, but it ended uop being a freindly deal, so they winged it. The tires were **** on the trail anyways. And they came out of ballance. But now with the new bigger swamps... say 39.5 irok I wonder about 4wpw
