it is a 89 jeep wrangler with the 4.2 stock ignition system timming is set at 11 degrees

i called howell and they said they dont know whats wrong with it

They only way the FI will make it run hot is if it is running to lean. And not as hot as you described. Does it have a cat on it? If so, I suspect it my be clogged. That will cause the high temps you describe.

Why is your timing at 11degrees.Stock chevy TBI calls for 0*.The comp adjusts it.
