Hunting vs Shooting within 5 mile pass???

This is a "Guess what I learned today?" thing.

You can legally hunt animals in within 5 mile pass rec. area!!!!

You can shoot, but you can hunt??

I talked to the BLM today and yes, you could hunt bunnies, deer, elk etc, but no target shooting at non living things.
