i got pulled over today

i love cops and i love what they do for us. i honestly do and i truely believe that 99% of cops out there are pretty cool. BUT i got pulled over today and this cop was freakin weird!! i should have gotten his badge no. me and a buddie were in my 4runner, on the road out to 5 mile pass(the finale road past the chevron) we got randomly pulled over by a police man in a f-150(i wasnt speeding), now as usual i put my hands on the steering and told my buddie to put his hands on the dash( i heard the cops feel safer that way cause they can see our hands) so the cop comes up to the passenger side and asks for my licence and regestration so i gave him my licence and i happened to not have my registration on me, i honestly dont know the point of the registation stuff if they take you plate number anyways, i told him i was sorry and that my car is registered, but he didnt seem to care and got mad and gave me the 5 minute talk on how i should keep the registration in my car, so he won i guess i should keep it in my car, but it didnt end there, he got mad at me for no mud flaps, and when i politly told him to go stand in back of my car and see that i do in fact have mud flaps he got more made and wanted to know if i had any beer in my car(my runner had the top off so it would be hard to hide anything in it) when i told him no he was like "uh huh" so i told him he could search my car if he wanted then he started to harrass my freind who was being quiet about why he was so quiet and if he was high! when my freind laughed and said NO! the cop then told us that if we had weed on us and we gave it to him that he wouldnt care, then when he didnt get any weed out of us he asked us when the last time we smoked was. when we told him we didnt smoke he gave us the "ya right" then finally when me and my freind started to get a little insulted i said "you can drug test us if you want, we dont drink we dont smoke and we take our 4 wheeling very seriously and very responsibly." at that he let us go but it was pretty weird and we both felt a little harrased. is this normal? ive been pulled over a few times ive never gotten a ticket and im always pretty repsectful but usually the cop is pretty cool and resonable, this guy was strange

You definitely should've taken down his name and badge number. There's no reason for a cop to act that way (unless you're leaving something out of the story, do you and your friend look like a couple of stoners?). I've been pulled over twice in Utah and one (utah county) was a dick, the other (uhp) was cool.

we are not preppy kids by any means but we dont smoke we dont party and honestly we were be as polite as we could, i dont mind getting pulled over for random warrent checks and stuff i dont have anything to hide and as long as the cop is freindly then hes just doing his job adn thats cool but i dont like being harrassed about weed, and "mud flaps" when i have mud flaps, he did also get mad cause i didnt have a front licence plate and im going to put it on tomarrow morning

Was it a Privately Owned F-150? What agency? Coming from a former LEO if this is the "exact" scenario I would 100% report it to higher authority. That is not normal behavior, not professional, not iaw any LEA's policy, and most definitely a weird situation............about 9 yards short of a first down I would say. Something is off center lately about this general area on Rt73 if you ask me.

There can't be too many cops with F-150's assigned to them in that area. Was this Sheriff, UHP, ??? I'd look into it....you're lucky he didn't give you the FULL search (body cavity)! Was this a privately owned one as asked before? Always look at the front plate for an EX, stands for exempt, on the license plates. If you don't see it, leave your window up, ask for HIS/HER id on top of the badge. There are some real sickos out there, especially in the more rural areas, so always be on your toes in desolate areas.

This is exactly what my thought process was as well. I'm wondering if there is an imposter out there. It wouldn't be a first. I was stationed in Hawaii when there was some sicko who hada Monte Carlo SS unmarked with all the blue lights (standard equipment in Hawaii) and was pulling women over and raping them.

I got pulled over in about '98 on the way to Jacob City by a Stockton cop w/ magnetic "Stockton Police" stickers on his 2wd S10... That was pretty funny, but he was actually a cop.

That guy had me on about 12 different ticketable offenses LOL and let me go w/a 5mph speeding ticket (I was doing about 50 outside of town, but it was a 35, which I did not know until then.)

Always get names and badge numbers. Not every cop is cut out for the job.

Call and complain, they will have records of who pulled you over. Out there it will either be UC Sheriff (most likely) or UHP, that road is mostly in county and Saratoga/Eagle Mountain/Cedar Fort/Fairfield do not have their own LEO's

When the Suburban is up an running again every cop in the valley and then some are going to want a piece. I have a feeling I have opened pandora's box with the latest round of mods.
The cops will be too busy to concern themselves with others.

I don't believe the UCSO has F-150's, they do drive trucks, but I haven't seen any F-150's. UHP has a few though.

Out in Saratoga they have gone to Dodge trucks or Durangos. Mostly the trucks, I believe they are trying to phase out the Durangos... Maybe it has something to do with a few upside down.

this was an F150 im pretty sure i saw UHP stickers on the side but maybe they were fake?? i really should have gotten his badge no. or something. i think ive seen him out there before i should go out there today and see if i can hunt him down.
