I need advice on getting a license plate for my crawler

I have been told that there are plates available for daylight only driving, no freeway driving etc. that are like a plate for a hot rod, just to show or transport your rig. Does anyone have one or know anything about it. My crawler won't qualify for a regular plate and I want to be able to drive it to trails in moab rather than loading it on a trailer over and over.

Nothing like that in Utah. You can either go street legal and pass the saftey and emissions and drive it anywhere. Or you can register it as in OHV and not use it on the streets (similar to a 4-wheeler). But that will require it to be trailered to the trail.

There are temporary transport papers, but they are for specific uses such as buying a car in Utah and transporting it out of state.

yup, either keep it street legal, or go OHV and accept the inconvenience of trailering it to the trail head and shuttling back and forth to your tow rig.

we all wish we could have our cake and eat it too, but most people know what they are getting themselves into when they cut up their rigs and accept the trade off.
