There were actually no instructions at all with the guide plates. Just came in a little plastic package.

With the Rockers however they mentioned a million times they recomend new pushrods. Didnt say hardened tho...just new.

I think they just assume someone spending that kind of cash on parts is going to get everything new at the same time which I should have done.

I am taking full responsibility for this one. Im just glad that only one broke. I think I very easily could have grenaded the whole motor with this oversite.

As for narrowing and dropping the Scout??? Probably not going to happen. I did narrow the rear a bit and it keeps it off most the rocks. Ive thought about narrowing the front but I dont think I could bring myself to do it. The Scouts arent super wide anyway

You havent seen it with the Rockwells have you Tacoma? It is VERY tall now. However wheeling with Byron, Aaron and Jared and Stan.....I still feel like the small rig. Thats messed up! Unfortunatly with the Rockwells and how much suspension travel I have....it really cant go any lower than it sits. I just want to build some torsion sway bars for it and I will have few problems. That and I cant run the front tires at 5 psi. They just fold over and that makes it tipsy. When I bumped the fronts up to 10 it felt a lot more stable

why do all my threads turn into Ford vs. dodge vs. chevy threads?

lol

Because it can't be Ford vs. Dodge vs. Chevy vs. International!!!! DUH!!!!!
Honestly though... I am sure that we have all seen engines fail and engines work. Bias to brand loyalty definitely comes into play here....

I hate it when one of the youngest people on here (i.e. ME) is the voice of reason!!! Now you old guys play nice!!! CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??? DAMN!!!:ugh:

On a more serious note... The Scout is an extremely capable rig, and arguably more capable now that it is riding on Rockwells and 46s. Sure the tires aren't the best performing tire off road... sure the rockwells are wide...
As for the narrowing the body... Why? The tires stick out almost all the way beyond the body as it is now. If you are getting the body in contact with anything... GET IT ON VIDEO!!!! YEAH!!!
Keep up the good work brother!

narrow body= room to lower truck and not hit anything :D
Trust me.. I know all about that narrow body thing...

I could fit 49s on the back of my truck with the 30" wide tailgate I have.
Perhaps another option would be a sway bar if you are looking to control the body movement more without playing with the spring rates of the coilovers.
The only thing I would be leery about with the addition of a sway bar would be the movement of the body from side to side because of the swivel shackles you have. That combined with the twist of the vehicle might be too much for a sway bar to take without binding or failing all together.
Just another idea to throw into the pot.

i dont think we could lower it. unless redoing everything. shock towers, air bump's,limit straps, rear suspintion,....as of now it only has 5'' of up travail and barley sits on the bumps. why are we even talking about narrowing the body?????????? its fine. all he needs is to get rid of those P.O.S tires.

I've seen that 3 times! The first time I heard about it I thought they were exaggerating.
i never herd of that happening..... wait...let me guess.

Believe it or not I am being plagued with more motor problems.
