Ideal alignment values (camber, caster)?

I've taken my 4Runner in to BigO out here in Riverton a couple times to get it aligned. They can't get it right. I forgot to grab the read out but he said they got caster on but couldn't adjust the camber. I mentioned it multiple times each time I've taken it in that I have adjustable control arms and today when I was talking to him afterwards, and he said he couldn't adjust the camber any more, I asked if he knew it had adjustable control arms...he looked at me dumbfounded. I told him both caster and camber were adjustable, only thing he said was "How?"...anyways, I'm super annoyed.

So, right now I'm at -1.9* and -2.1* camber. The only thing I can find is negative is good for the track, this is my lifted 4Runner. Most readouts I see have camber pretty close to 0*. Is it worth throwing a digital angle finder on and adjusting each side maybe +1.5*?

Thanks! Gonna have to do a little DIY to get it in the neighborhood and then find a competent shop to finish it off. :)

If you want a good shop..Russ' or Alignment Specialists. Both are around the 21st &Redwood area. Russ' does a lot of high end exotic cars and accident repairs. Alignment Specialists does a lot of Big trucks and RV's. Jack-it used both while I was there after we'r installed lifts and rarely did anyone come back after.

I have the SPC arms. It has a recommended caster setting to get it back to stock so that’s where it’s currently at. I think it has adjustment of +/- 4* for caster.

Thanks for the recommendation on shops guys. I’m sure I’ll be taking it to one of them.

As a starting point on the SPC arms try putting them in the "C" position and centering the nut in the slot. My son did the alignment on my 4Runner and it drives great. here is my specs.

Took it in to Sandy Big O today and they were awesome! They got the camber exactly where it needs to be, pushed the caster up (it was at +.8* when I took it in) and didn't question the UCAs at all, knew exactly what to do. Even though they are across the valley from me, I'll be returning for sure.

Not all Big-O stores are created equal. Those guys up there deserve to have their own store name, because they are way better than the rest.
