In any case, the douchy sticker didn't need to be there.

I don't have a huge Jeep, I'm on 33's and to be honest it doesn't look like a competition crawler, but I find it absolutely hilarious when a dude in any other rig like an FJ, Xterra, Hummer, a Big Ford truck, or whatever for that matter, pulls up with bull bumpers, tube side steps, those weird taillight covers, and Jerry cans with a handyman jack, 35" or 37" Toyo MTs with 100 PSI in the tires (p.s. you can totally tell by the way the vehicle rides) and the look at me like I'm the idiot. I have been tempted tell them lets run up the mtn and see where ya go.

I mean if they weren't complete morons about it I would totally be down with wheeling with them, you can just turn about any rig into something capable.

There is this one hummer that drives around town that I would love just to park on his hood, stupid H2...

Wouldn't surprise me if they would. Half don't even know what the rig is capable of, just that it's what the kewl kids want/have and they have one now too. Not that their respect is necessarily worth seeking.

Heck we even have Jeep model loyalty. My buddy with a Grand always pulls the long-wheelbase card, my buddy with a Comanche brags about his high clearance belly and mile long wheelbase, and I say approach angle, breakover angle, departure angle, and a REAL frame are where its at, oh and I cant help but pull the card that says which Jeep model (if it still is a Jeep) do most competition rockcrawlers base their rigs from... and we all know who is right..:greg:

Got that with Land Cruisers, too. There are some who think that anything other than a 40 series is not a real Land Cruiser, then there are others who think anything past 97 is inferior (solid axles up to 97, 98 went to IFS), then there are the 100 series (98-07) owners who think anything else is inferior.

Then there is loyalty within the series...80 series (91-97) for example. There are some who say 91-92 are superior because of the simplicity of the engine (3FE), and that they ride more like tanks than the other years. There are others who think the early years should be avoided at all costs because of the simple engine and [far superior] A440F tranny, they are the ones who think the 1FZ-FE is a vastly superior engine (even with a faulty factory HG, a certain impossibly inaccessible heater hose that fails often, inferior A343F car tranny....)

the other day i was up at bare lake, and some dude in a mazda 6 got stuck in the sand.. im not doging on the capability of a mazda 6.. but he had a decepticon sticker on his back window(im a huge transformers fan, like since before the movie came out, ok?) so i pulled him out with my land cruiser that has a mountain yoats/autobot sticker on it and gave him a sticker(for those of you who have seen them know what im talking about)

by the way i would have given toyota more respect if the fj cruiser had a scion emblem on it instead of F.J.

oh and i have a 97 land cruiser, and yes i do hate my tranny.. but i love my lockers
