so after looking at the rr4w paper to see what trails are being run i am still confused. all it clarifies is what trails they are running and what time they meet at. is there anything more that will help me stay out of their way and avoid being ticketed? i've searched high and low for their policy about ejs and haven't found anything that is about ejs '08.

count on me having one of these threads every year... sorry

Easy way to avoid being in the way: Register and run with the RR4W's, its a blast and you won't regret it. (And yes, you can register at the arena during the safari).

That info is a year old, but from my talks with the BLM this year it sounds like they want to work it this year the same as last year.

For the past two years we have just planned our trial runs on trails not scheduled that day for EJS. Then you have no worries of running into the convoys. Just double check when you arrive in Moab to make sure the trail schedules did not change. Last year the wrong trail schedule was sent out

I won't be registering this year, but will be donating money to RR4W while down there.

The "exclusive use" trails are as follows with the days they are being used by RR4W noted:

Behind the Rocks (3/20, 3/21, and 3/22)
Cliffhanger (3/17, 3/19, 3/20, 3/21, and 3/22)
Gold Bar Rim (3/16, 3/19, 3/21, and 3/22)
Golden Spike (3/15, 3/16, 3/17, 3/18, 3/20, and 3/22)
Moab Rim (3/15, 3/18, 3/19, and 3/22)
Poison Spider (3/15, 3/18, 3/19, 3/20, 3/21, and 3/22)
Pritchett Canyon ((3/17, 3/18, 3/20, 3/21, and 3/22)

Your best bet on running these trails is to do it on a day the RR4W are not using them.

i'm all for the cause, i've just never been a club guy. i still donate to bfe and what not.

so i'm okay if i'm on the trail before or after the groups, correct? i haven't had a problem in previous years thats why i want to clarify. i really don't want to be "that guy"

you don't have to join the club to do the trails... your just donating money to the club to keep your favorite trails open... it would be wiser to just stay off the trails that are being run that whole day... nights are all yours... that way you don't become THAT GUY
