I'm in Washington, watching a hockey game

DC that is, Capitals v. Minnesota Wild. Not too bad, this arena has great seats pretty much everywhere.... one of the few perks of being here is free games. The other is: the Mall-- I did not know you could take STAIRS to the top of the very tall Washington Monument, but you can, and I will.

Anyway I'm digging the live action.

Well, I found out that the stairs are closed to the general public. I will endeavor to find out what it takes to be allowed in though... there are commemorative plaques and whatnot along the stairs, i'd love to see them.

I have heard that clubs here are reeeeeally pricey, no matter what the genre..
