I was doing an 80 mile canoe trip on the waters of Flaming Gorge when that storm hit us on it's way to SLC. The micro-bursts were hellish, tipping over one of our canoes and seperating our group for an hour or so. Luckily everyone was ok, but we lost a brand new camp stove.
We paddled on and stopped at a beach where a bunch of boaters had hunkered down, and they said a tornado touched down in SLC.. Not one of us believed them.
That was one pissed off storm. I still have dreams about being caught inbetween the 100 ft cliffs and getting pounded by those micro-bursts.. Scary stuff.
