Well, I got the job!!!!! I am going down to work over the next few months by myself, until I can find a good deal on a rental or a house to purchase.

The prices for homes and real estate are quite crazy. I might be living in a van down by the river for awhile.

Big congrats. Good luck with the lodging situation. You know motorhomes are going pretty cheap right now.

What position did you recieve? My wife did a rotation with him as a Physicians Assistant and loved it. Congrats and good luck.

What is the housing market like...in comparison to Utah Co., SL Co.? Schools for kids any good?

thanks to all

wish me luck!

We got to live in Moab for about 8 months in 2004-5 while I built the new Zions Bank there. We thought the elementary school was pretty good - class sizes were quite a bit smaller than South Jordan, but they were a little behind in curriculum levels - our kids had a little catching up to do when we moved back.

We couldn't find anything that was reasonable to buy back then, and only really found 2 decent places to rent. We ended up in a 3bd./2ba. townhouse and were paying about $1200/mo. (or at least that's what my company was paying).

Moab was a great place to live though. If I could find a way to make a decent living there I'd still be there. Definitely better be prepared for higher food and gas prices though. Our monthly food bill was probably 20% higher in Moab than in SL County.

Well, I am down here and is it HOT!! The family is still up in Lehi. I am thinking about getting a lot and then getting a modular home. Wife does not like the idea, but considering the other options and prices, thats affordable. Plus I need a good size lot anyway to enterain the guests.

Nice to see it's the same in all the little rural towns. I have seriously been contemplating moving back to Ephraim, but the lack of any good paying job and contractor\developers who think their stuff is made of gold has put a damper on that big time. It's Ephraim for hell sakes, who wants to live there? (expect me?)

Ummmmmmmm, well
