Is Constrictor the most difficult Trail in Northern Utah?

I think it is one of the harder if not the hardest in Northern Utah, can't rightly think of a legal trail that is harder?

When we first forged Constrictor it was no doubt a much harder trail than it is today, in fact in the very first few runs of the trail there were few that drove it unscathed, and nobody could even get close to driving the 'Eagles Nest' (a fun story behind the naming of that anyways). With more use it has mellowed out significantly over the years, obstaces such as Radiator Rapids, the Fang as well as the Eagles Nest have all been worked over pretty good. To be expected with heavy use really.

Still trying to rack my brain as to a tougher trail in the northern state?

Constrictor is easy other than Eagles nest, but I never ran it in the years near conception. and I guess the use of the word easy is relative.. I dont know many northern trails either.

If you know the obstacles and actually drive them instead of around them, it still has some bite.

I think a better question is, is constrictor the hardest known trail in Northern Utah. I know for a fact that it is not, but this board may never know of other harder trails because of exactly what Kurt said. Over use kills the harder parts of trails.

I could show you an obstacle on the Con that was wicked hard and now you may not even know it is there. Brittany's Box....

Yup, and if you couldn't drive clean around the Fang it would be a different story... if you stay hard left coming out of Wolverine....

the few times ive done the trail I have took what I seen as the hardest lines, im assuming that would have been the original trail, I didnt go around. So I can see what you are saying, If the trail hadnt been widened by people finding an easier line it would still be a hard trail. Ive also heard a few people say that Eagles nest is easier due to the top of the shelf breaking off over years.

I agree If everyone had to take the hardest lines it could be concidered a difficult trail..anyone know what the trail is rated.

As far as rock cralwing goes its the most difficult legal trail that I know of. Next up might be Providence, but like Constrictor it has mellowed out a ton :-\

I have seen pictures of the Eagle's Nest, but does anyone have pics of these other Constrictor obstacles like Radiator Rapids, Fang, Wolverine and such???
For those of us that have not been there and are completely in the dark about this discussion, but want to know??
Thanks,
Matt

It kills me that people make different lines if u can't make it then don't do it. constrictor according to the sign is rated at a 5 out of 5. I have a modertly built tj and i take all the hard lines cause whats the fun in going around stuff. And its wheeling people not baja so stick to the actual trail or don't go on it!

What I find funny is these guys with mild rigs taking the easy lines on Con, destroying the trail, then bragging about how easy it is.

I would say back when the snakes were found and made trails, Constrictor was a VERY hard trail, but now with all the traffic both the trails have seen, I would say maybe not. BUT I cant think of a trail that is legal that could be considered harder. I dont consider lil moab to count, since it technically is not a trail. It is a play area. Either way con and RS are both still fun trails

There is a spot in Con were I got my drivers side tire probably 6-7 feet off the ground. I really wish I had a camera that trip :( I am excited to go out again soon though.

If you take all the hard lines this is a very fun trail.I agree don't drive around the the hard stuff and you wont be unhappy you made the trip out there. And if you really want a challenge go run this trail in the rain. I did this last weekend and it was a blast and I have ran this trail a lot but to do it in the rain is a hole new ball game. I made it to waynes world and my day ended there. I could not get up the second lip and went a little to fare to the left then on my side then off and upside down at the bottom good times.
