See how the bumper tweaks abit when the suspension is flexing? Is that normal??

You've got more than just suspension flexing there. You've got a bit of frame flex too. Pretty normal. Put a nice cage in, and tie it into the frame and body tub and it'll stiffen right up.

Check yer frame closely---Toyotas have very stiff frames compared to other trucks, and you're getting enough frame flex to make me wonder if you have issues somewhere. (cracks)

If the framerails are in good shape and the crossmembers securely attached, you're just fine. :) If you want it stiffer, Braden already posted your answer.

Another item to look at is the body mounts. From what I can see in the pic, even the rocker guard is drooping slightly. I'd have to guess the body is still strucurally sound and staying straight, and the frame is dropping away from it. Either way, you have a problem. Mine has been crossed up way worse, and nothing like that happens to me. Then again, my cage is tied to the frame.... ;)

I would say since the driver rear tire is off the ground in that situation, that it has zero flex in the rear. And thus the frame is trying to compensate in the front for the lack of flex in the rear suspension.

I noticed that as well. Carl has a cheap and easy fix for that..... ;)

Also, I see hydraulic assist, and high steer in your future (the best money you'll spend).

i've also noticed the lack of flex in the rear... the front soaks it all up.. i want here to be atleast some out back...

maybe hydro assit, hysteer, and 4link and fox shox are in the future....

Well, i looked at all the body mounts after i wrenched on that blasted fuel filter... nothing raises a red flag for me... though, i'm not sure EXACTLY what it is i'm looking for. I looked for any cracks in the frame, didn't see much... then again it's 2am, and i want to get to bed... so, the inspection might have been abit quick and careless... So, i'm not sure for now.... ;)

You need to take it out and cross it up real good like in the photo (even a ramp or loading dock or something). Park it that way, then get under there......

If you have something going south, it should be obvious then. ;)

I've got a BudBuilt crossmember, chunky sliders, and a rear cross member... that's abit more stiffening than a stock frame would be...

anyone interested in pics of the incredibly massive crack in my frame? :ugh:

also, the front mounts that mount the body to the body mounts is 100% broken off, and.... and, the only real force holding my radiator on is the fact that it's resting on the bumper:eek:

POS?

we welded it up for a temp. rigging... next week is the soonest we can tackle bracing the sh!t out of the front spring hangers, and bracing up the cracked area...

the intense death sobble is almost completely gone though:-\
