it just seems like cost is a big issue. most of these kits come in at 1500$ or more. there seem to be a lot more cost effective ways to get lower gearing. american iron is just so heavy!! do you high torque granny geared/ auto tranny guys have problems with too high of gear ratios?? i always thought some diff gears, an auto tranny and a dana 300 make the world go round?
Don't forget about Yota cases. 4.1 or 4.7 gearsets. Also slap two 2.28's, a 2.28 and 4.1, a 4.1 and 4.1, a 2.28 and 4.7, a 4.7 and 4.7(heard that this isn't recommended though). I also know guys that have triple cases Ya'll do the math on that. Yota gearsets and adapter plates are all well under a $1000 too.
They will sell tons of these. They are a true 1 ton case, they will mate to a GM tranny with factory parts, and three to one is plenty of reduction for the engines that will be used with them. Hearing about this has changed my ideas about my dream drivetrain.
