Wups! Changed it. I was confused too, thought to myself "they don't make winches!?" I wrote it, who knows what I was thinking about.

A Rancho winch?

Cool Jeep! I've got a TruTrac in the front of my Toyota. It sure is nice on snowy roads and turning.

Are you foolin too??? or in comparison to a full locker? TrueTrack's are rad but I still have to keep my eyes peeled! who knows when it will pull? I love them for a DD rig.

So what would be the next step for you if you had this rig? What would you add or subtract?

If I were to swap motor's would you do the common SBC swap or do a high power stroker?

Tough call. I think I'd do the small block Chev or F*rd swap if it was me (maybe the 5.0L F*rd (mustang, t-bird, lincoln type--watch their swapability as F*rd has all kinds of stuff that changes around depending plant produced and year produced) as it bolts up to some Jeep bellhousings). Maybe keep the stock trans if that's what you like. Depends on how you want to use it.

Then again, there's nothing wrong with a "stock" Scrambler.

I know! I think I'll just re-mill the block and keep it the same it is so versatile the way it stands. That Is why I struggle so much with what to do next, I'm at 190k and don't know how much longer it has. Seems to have another 100k the way it's driving but you never know and I'd like to have a fresh block ready to throw in when it goes south.

Yeah and dana 60's too. I have these plans but probably will not wheel it at it's capacity due to the unmolested tub. For now I think that stock(ish) is good and looks like I need to build my other one up Cj7 for power and body damage won't hurt as much.

I feel like mbryson's comment is true though, Then again, there's nothing wrong with a "stock" Scrambler.

I have reached a point to where I can just maintain it. To change anything else would molest the condition that I have sculpted over the years. I like it as is too!

Looking for a Low mile/rebuilt 4.2.
