Having problems with my transmission. It keeps jumping out of first gear when accelerating from a dead stop. I know it is a common issue and I have the TSB but what have you done to fix this? Any recommended people that can help me out. I can do lots of things but transmissions not so much. I have never done it. Any help would be awesome!

I am not having the same issue but I recently had my throw out bearing replaced. I do have an additional noise that previously was diagnosed as the input shaft bearing failing and was going to have the transmission shop look into it and fix if the was the case. Turns out they would only be able to replace tranny. They claimed no parts or rebuild kits of the sort were available yet for the JK's NSG370 6 speed manual tranny.

Would recommend at least calling a dealership to see what they do about that issue. I wasn't aware that there was a TSB out on it but I would think that should then be covered under warranty, no?

I checked with the dealer and since it is just a TSB and not a recall they wont fix it. I think I will just dive in and try to rebuild the tranny myself but we will see what happens.

Just make sure that you feel your shifter fully engage before taking off. There is a halfway point in first gear I can feel with mine and sometimes it will pop out if I don't make sure to fully engage it. The halfway spot almost feels like it's engaged fully.
