So it was a compressor problem? Not an actual locker unit problem?

Big Sgt where are you?

I don't know for sure. I just skimed over page. I don't pay much attention to rubicons, I think they are kind of boring. They could be having trouble with both.

Back to the issue....

My buddy has a Rubicon ('03) and he has not had any rear locker problems. This is the first time I have heard of this actually.

Me too, I heard it from a Dodge dealer on another list, I have a good freind with one and he hasn't heard any recall news... I just don't want him to get the short end of the stick... anyone... whats the deal on these things? Mabey nothing?

What exactly is happening? I have noticed that it doesn't unlock instantly all the time. Once my buddy had to drive a couple of feet before it unlocked itself. If he is having constant problems it may be an isolated issue.

That's consistent with the design. Same or similar to ARB......

I was reading some info on a Rubicon forum and it turns out that this is a fairly common issue This forum had a decent sized thread and this issue was discussed in this thread.

It's just that we're always right, and it can be frustrating explaning stuff to the Jeep guys all the time.:p

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!! :D

Actually, my next rig will be "in bred" with not a single Toyota part, so my brand loyalty is gonna be non existant. :(
