Personally, I think that's pretty freaking awesome.

8K for "buy it now"......Holy crap...

That's got to be a decent towing machine esp. for a rig on a trailer.

Very cool. Looks pretty cleanly done.

What's the difference between that old '90 CUmmins vs. say a '96-98? Intercooler?

Awsome!!! Too bad we live in the ass-clown of an emissions state!!!!

Move.

For those with more patience & intellect, there are piles of diesel converted rigs that are completely legit here in Utah, including Cummin's swaps. There are steps to take to make the conversion legal and paperwork behind it legal.

no computers!
reliable-as-clock Bosch rotary injection pump (same basic design since like 1940 or something, but does not support huge power like the P-pumps, no biggie)
no intercooler (easily added, though not in an FSJ-- not much room)

couple other minor configuration differences.

the county that guy lives in has no emissions and no inspections, Ive met the guy that owns it and I am good friends with the guy that built it ( back when i lived in tampa(it is sick, but it has the stock dana 44s on it) it has very little rust on the frame and IIRC there is minor surface fust on 1 door and in the back, ill see if i can find the build thread.

Unfortunitley I am also lacking in the patience and intellect to deal with the state in such a project but would love to stick a 4bt I have in a fj60 someday. Do you know anyone in SL county with a converted gas to diesel vehicle?
