Jellow

My new raging rig. Testing names with Jeep and yellow. Didn't really like Yeep, so it's Jellow for now. I got this and a few $ for upgrades after I paid off the credit card from the buggy. It will get a mild lift, 35" tires, maybe a 44 front end, lockers, bumpers, and protection. It's a 2004, a/c, cruise, auto, premium sound and some other stuff.

Hey I have an auto, and I love it. If you change your mind and want to sell it let me know. Which I am sure you won't.

No, I usually don't sell them until I dump a lot of money into them and finish them into a dream rig, then sell them for a loss.

SuperDuty axles to match the tow rig?

No more matching the tow rig. This will be driven to trails. In fact if I sell my boat, the tow rig will be next.

You need a prestige plate for it that reads "SHRTBUS". I think you are taking some major steps backwards here, bro. Are you going to do a build up on your newly appointed off road rig?

can we guess the inevitable future of your rig?
I'd guess a rear 4 link stretched 4 inches to 107 long enough for climbs, but still street legal. front suspension unchanged maybe just stronger brackets, slightly stouter steering. an atlas. high fendered front and rear. 37's. a super low cg. beefier axles. caged. a few knick knacks to keep it all together. and a long life as a great dual purpose rig.
cool jeep, shrtbus!

Nice new addition, Bart! I'm a fan of the LJ's and wish mine was...

As for the Auto, you'll hate it if you wheel it 'hard' - on steep inclines, they start sucking air and loose forward/reverse. 03 up have this problem, and nobody makes a deep pan to resolve it. A buddy of mine in CO has an 03? with like 4k miles on it - trail rig only - and has lots of bucks in it - Atlas, Dynatrac 60's, etc...etc.. and his fails on Pritchett in some of the steeper climbs. Like Yellow and Axle Hill. He tried over filling it and that made no difference. So pull it and go with a 4l60e - of course you'll have to go with a 5.3 as well :)
