New Hire Support Supervisor – 30646
Job Description
This position affects the new employee experience by operationally and strategically facilitating pre-employment processes, orientation, onboarding and retention. Located at the Intermountain Healthcare Wasatch Canyons campus in the Taylorsville/Murray area and part of the Employment Center, the New Hire Support Supervisor directly manages new employee pre-employment screening and orientation. This position has close interaction with recruitment/employment staff, facility Human Resources, Employee Health, department managers and new hires. Other responsibilities require facilitating improvement efforts for the new employee experience in both individual and in team situations.
Qualifications
The selected individual believes in providing exceptional service and loves to figure out how to improve processes and the new hire experience. Other qualifications include:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Sociology or related Liberal Arts degree is required.
Intermediate word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. The ability to evaluate / summarize data and create professional presentation documents and training.
Five years previous experience in Human Resources, Education, Customer Service or other area that supports an employee or customer-base population through services and support.
Previous group presentation experience is required.
The ability to facilitate and lead teams is required.
Demonstrated flexibility to meet varied and changing needs of new employees is required.
Demonstrated problem solving skills are required.
The ability to travel between facilities in the Salt Lake area on a weekly basis is required.
Three years work experience in a hospital or other healthcare environment is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
