There were quite a few folks out today. Good to see some Rubi owners using their rigs. My pile decided it didn't want to climb Wayne's World so the motor quit. Even with everybody's assistance (thanks!!!!) we couldn't coax it to run. Meat towed me to the trailer and on (THANKS AGAIN!!!!!).

What's wrong with your motor?

Dunno yet. It'd run if we 'primed' it (or bathed it.....I was like a drunken redneck up there with the gas can)......but wouldn't put fuel through the injectors to make it fire. I'm thinking it's either injectors or fuel regulator, but ......

Maybe the heat had something to do with it? It must have been really cookin'.

It was warm even 10K ft. today.
My truck said it was 98F when I got back on the road.

I would have had some video tonight but my composite in on my cap card seems to be afk :mad2:

I'll have a bit of video tomorrow after I go buy a firewire wire and learn how to cap that way (not my camera)

not to change the subject but have you checked the fuel pump? Is it even getting enough pressure to the injectors? There's not much to the injectors.

any day on the trail is better than a day off the trail :p

Not something stupid like a fuel filter is it? If it is the injectors some seafoam works miracles.

Seafoam?

We tried all the stupid stuff. The lines, the filter (it's 3ish years old, could be replaced, but it didn't seem to be the problem), took the fuel regulator off the TBI and I'm getting fuel to that point, it just doesn't want to spray......

I need to dig out my book and see what sends the 'spray' signal to the injectors and see if there's a fuse(?) that blew on that circuit. If there's nothing there, I think I'll go down to the junkyard and see if I can get a TBI unit and swap that. If that fixes things, I'll get a new TBI unit.

I have been looking arround today, (cus stuff like this interests me) and found that the signal comes from the computer which comes from the MAP sensor. There is also a relay that can go bad and if you tap on that realy it might start and then stop again indicating that the relay is bad.

I was under the impression you need a higher volumn fuel pump with some 350 motors. I'm sure you've reserched it. Just blabbing here and wishing I could have made it out there with you guys, although I'm with JK on this one. I'd have passed up on almost anything for a free round Thanksgiving Point.
