Kane Creek water level?

I was camped below Killer Kane a few days ago, and the level seemed pretty low (not sure on exact depth) compared to recent years :)

Seems fairly reasonable right now, but the mountain snow hasn't started melting yet. Last I heard, the La Sals are way over 200% of average.

That place has to change daily...hourly even! I am south of vernal right now and we have to deal with summer runoff streams and rivers to get to the rig I am on and it can be interesting when you hit the road after a warm day! Kane Creek has to be an even more extreme example of that.

I have gone through there and seen very recent evidence of flash flooding and I have to say our whole group would have been dead if we saw the levels evidenced by the debris markers on the trees and banks! I am always nervous when I do trails like that...ALWAYS!!

That place has to change daily...hourly even!

Yeah I ran that trail during EJS week for the first time in about three years and I was amazed how much it has changed. Always a fun trail when your not having to worry of you are going to get swept downstream:eek:
