I went down that in my XJ and didn't have a problem. I know some shorter wheel bases that stuggled a bit, but have never seen that happen. I can only imagine with no weight in the rear it completely unloaded at the wrong time. Cody, what did you do? Looks skeeery for sure.

I was running BTR last fall and when we got to WKH, it was a beast of a drop-off. There was NO way I was going to go down it in my YJ. I'd never been there in person, but every picture I had seen prior didn't make it look anything like that.

Ya, it was completely new suspension and tube work. It sat about 3" higher in the rear, with really really stiff coils (seems like 255/150 or something). I came down and the rear came up. I hit the gas but the front bumper had already hit and pivoted the tires off the ground. Went over pretty hard but nobody was seriously injured. I'm thankful I didn't have a stinger or else it would have pitched me into a carwheel down the hill and made things worse.

We swapped to softer springs (150/85 I think) and added a center limit strap and the rig worked much better. I don't think it would have had much trouble going down that with the new spring rates and such.

It's a big drop though. We've had groups of ZJ/WJ's go down it, but last year we opted to bypass because we had too many people in the group that were intimidated by the obstacle because of my experience.

Holy crap, I'm the only one that still has the same rig in this photo.

Actually no one else in the pic is still wheeling the rig they built (or bought) after the one in the pic.

I did wkh in my TJ during one of the EJS (2003?). I was pretty nervous. Especially after watching a VERY TALL scout flip and roll a couple of times (or maybe just one and a half). I made it ok, but the spotter (trail leader) was very good and coached me through the whole thing. Nerve-racking nonetheless.

i will admit that i had a strap on my rear bumper with one or two guys on it, to help keep the ass-end against the wall..

Moab virgin asks the obvious to the initiated: WKH?
what does that stand for?
