Looking for tall skinny tires for my Land Cruiser project.

Main options at this point (share if you have other suggestions) are Kenda Klever R/T in 35x10.50R17 and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 255/85R17.

Would appreciate experience with either tire or their close relatives.

I have the Klever R/T on my new truck. I only have have about 3000 miles on them and have not had the opportunity to drive them on anything but asphalt yet. I have a personal bias to Kenda for no other reason than I have not had to buy a single motorcycle or UTV tire for the last 8 years due to the off road support we have from the. That is not the entire reason I bought them, but it played a factor in my decision. When buying a 37" tire to fit a 20" rim, there was a wide price variance and the Kenda fell at a price I was comfortable with. On the highway they are a fairly quiet tire and seem to handle pretty good on highway. I know this is not your primary use and may not be any meaningful input for your final decision since you are not looking for pavement princess traction.

Highway manners are always important in my book.
How they do over time with wear is one question that I guess you will know eventually.

I'd do the same thing in your situation 100%. Buuuut I'm surprised you say they're quiet because my Kenda A/T's have to be the loudest A/T in existence. They sound like M/T's on the highway. I know, not even the same tire.

The price was right though

They are not silent, but they are not by any means loud.........or maybe the new Fords are really sound proof. 🤷‍♂️ Like a lot of tires, they may get a little louder as they wear, but out of the box, they have not jumped out as being loud to me.
