Keurig Coffee Makers

Anyone else have one of these coffee makers and experienced problems with them? I've gone through 2 in the last four months. Eventually the lights will come on but it's barely a trickle as to what comes out.

We've had ours a couple years and love it. We use bottled water and when it starts getting noisey (popping sound), I run some Vinegar through it to get the hard water build up out of it. Also if you use K-cups that have sugar in them like the hot chocolate, your supposed to run straight water through it afterwards to flush it all out.

i've had my keurig 3 years and i love it. also have a single maker at work. the thing about them is you have to clean them. TJ4ME is right on with the vinegar flush--it depends on how hard your water is. get the k cups at costco and the price per cup drops to about .40 cents last time i checked.

My wife had one and didn't clean it for... well ever and got to that point.. Vinegar wouldn't touch it but 50/50 CLR for 24 hours and then a lot of rinsing ending with vinegar did that trick to bring it back to life.. now I clean it every month so I don't have to do that anymore :)

We have one at work, we've had it about a year and a half making probably 20 cups a day and haven't had any problems at all with it. We do use super filtered water in it though. I could see if you used hard water it would plug up pretty quickly.

I love ours and use it every day at least once. I don't use filtered water, and have cleaned it out with vinegar a couple times. No problems in two years or so.

I have a $15 Mr. Coffee thats plugged into a $2 timer. I put fresh ground coffee in every night before I go to bed and wake up to delicious caffeine in the the morning. Never had a problem, and as some will attest, I'm a coffee snob. ;)

Like others say, it's scale (hard water build-up). They are supposed to have a time to clean the scale light, but in my experience mine needed cleaning even when the light didn't come on. Vinegar usually works, but I did have to break down and clr then vinegar my old one.. One day it seemed like it was brewing a bit slow so I thought I'd bang on it trying to break the scale free. Bad idea, broke the electronics and it wouldn't turn on. I ordered a new Keurig and had a water softener installed. Not a single issue since.

In addition to running vinegar or clr/vinegar, you can also try cleaning the puncture needle with a paper clip or light air pressure through the over flow hose (google specifics for these two things).

Love my Keurig.

Thanks for all the responses. I got it running by running a pipe cleaner up through the needle nozzle that pierces the little coffee pack. I'm going to try the CLR being that I use the Vinegar often enough. Thanks again
