Key only turns 1/4 turn and then stops..

My key will only turn about 1/4 turn and then it stops. I replaced the ignition cylinder today thinking that was the problem. Well... once I got the new cylinder in I went to turn it over and it did the same thing as it did with the old one!!

I am really getting sick of this thing not working..

Do you guys have any other ideas of what it might be? What else can I check to see what the problem is?

If there is anyone out there that can come and fix it for me I will pay them $50..

What is it in? Most steering columns have a lever(or bar) that runs down the column to where all of the wires hook up. I've read that if that binds up it will cause the problems that you are having. If the relay(?) box that it runs to is bad that could be it as well. This is not the best of pics but this is one that I have been fighting with. You can see the bar\rod at the bottom that runs to the relay box w/ wires. This is from a Scout II but was made by GM & I've heard was also used in Jeeps if that is what your working with.
