Looking for an inexpensive SUV for my 22 year old daughter. Leaning towards her buying the Jeep Cherkoee I sold to my parents 12-14 years ago, but saw decent priced Kia Sorento advertised.

Any experience with them?

My buddy had one and actually loved it. Honestly I was surprised considering they usually have very expensive taste. They told me it was awesome in the snow and it was very comfortable

If you stick with the 1st gen Sorrentos, they are actually a body-on-frame construction which is rare in smaller SUV's these days. I haven't heard much otherwise, but maybe that's a good thing?

I always thought that the 1st gens were cool for a small SUV. As Bryson noted, body on frame makes them much more robust than most small SUV's.

I had looked at the years ago- before buying my Montero. Looks like my daughter is going to go with the Cherokee, but thanks for the feed back!
