So my wife is in the middle of passing her second kidney stone :( Man they must hurt! 2:30 in the morning we rushed to the emergency room, and I some how managed to spend my night in a not so comfortable chair--poor me huh

Anyway They say it hurts more than giving birth (sadly as a man I'll never have that experience ) I guess she'll let me know if thats true in a few months :D

I am pretty sure I had one starting, somehow nothing more came of it... but if that's what it was I can vouch for it being excruciating.

very painful from what i've been told but its worse for a guy because our urinary tract is skinnier than a females.

basicly imagine a little spike ball being forced down a very soft tube and you get the idea of whats going on.

Yea I had one that they eventually had to blast with their ultrasonic thingy. Talk about painful. I don't like to even think about it.

Actually, the most painful part is passing it from the kidney to the bladder

yep, nothing quite like having a blocked uritter & thinking your pretty sure that your kidney is going to burst, & to top that off the nerves in your kidneys (in men) are connected to your boys, so after a while it feels like somone might be standing on them,:eek: (think Ill go have a glass of watter)

I've had two and wouldn't wish one on anyone. My last one was too big to pass and I had the ultrasonic thing after waiting nearly a week(red tape crap), the next day it kind of felt like getting kidney punched.

What a trippy drug world! Perkies every 2hrs just to keep the pain down to a dull roar and trips to the ER almost nightly for morphine!

Yes this thread is 4 years old, but I am bumping it out of respect for those who have passed (stones) before me. Wow what a un-fun experience the past 24 hours have been. I spent many hours turtled up and flopping around trying to find a way to be comfortable. Thank you to the inventor of Morphine.

I have had 3, passed all of them naturally. I would not wish that pain on my worst enemy.

I have a very high tolerance to pain imo, and I hurt enough that I caved in and went to the er for pain medicine.

My condolences

Damn, glad you're ok now? That does not sound like fun. :(
