KTM 890 Adventure R Rusty Forks

I bit ago I came out to take my 890 for a ride and walked up to a puddle of fork oil. I had one short ride on a new suspension upgrade and immediately took a picture and sent it to the guy that did my suspension work. He said bring it in and he would reseal it.

In taking it off I noticed that the bottom 3-4 inches had spots on the fork stanchion and I didn't really look at hard just thinking it was dirt or oil. When I dropped it off, the guy looked at it and asked what was on it the forks. We got looking at it and found it it was pitting but only the bottom 3-4 inches. He asked if the other one was fine and I said I would go home and look. It other side matched so I called KTM and filed a claim. I had to take all kinds of pictures of my bike, the forks in all kinds of different poses. I was thinking about including a picture of my feet but chose not to at the last minute. A couple of days later they asked me what dealer I wanted the new stanchions sent to. They said they would pay for parts if I paid for labor and oil. I couldn't say "DEAL" fast enough.

In light of their financial issues, I wonder if that decision would have been different?I have a Polaris issue that I am dealing with right now and depending on the outcome, they will get praised or abused by me. I hate to say it but in the last 3 years, I have spent an insane amount of money with Polaris and I absolutely told them I would have CanAms in my garage going forward if they don't warranty my vehicle my Xpedition. I've read the 890 horror stories and have been elated not to have experienced any in the 7K miles on my bike. Hope you get it sorted out Russ.
