Wendover is busy this time of year with speed week & other groups so rooms will get taken early for those of you who miss out on rooms there will be camping allowed at the main pit area.

This is a new course and about 3/4 of it has never been raced before. the new section takes you up through the mountains accross the upper flats west of wendover and drops back down through the canyons into the wendover valley. VERY COOL NEW COURSE!!! I will be running a remote pit support trailer in the back side to help people with emergancy piting your all welcome to use it if needed you can also drop off spare tires or gas at this location before the race if you would like to. here is a link for more info. http://www.borracing.org/

Team numbers

Will numbers be assigned or can we use our own if they have not been taken?
For example I will be running 4400 class my number would be 4465.
Is this correct? If so I need to get some vinyl cut.

What are the regs for helmets? Anything DOT approved? Or is there another spec that i'm missing?

Numbers are not assigned, for now you can choose your own. You are correct on how the numbering will work, and you are officially #4465 now. :greg:

any good info for spectators , where to go watch ? / how to get there ?

Quads, bikes and ATV's start at sunrise. Cars and trucks start at 11. There is an 8 hour time limit and the awards ceremony will be at 7:30 pm. The start line is about 6 miles south of town, just off the highway (there will be signs to guide you). There should be some good spectating areas near the start/finish line. There is limited access to much of the course, because it loops around a WSA (Wilderness Study Area). We are asked not to touch the WSA or we will suffer the wrath of the BLM and the treehuggers.

From the BORR website regarding the race...

"Saturday

* Late registration will be Saturday morning from 6:00 am - 10:00 am in the pits.
* UTV & ATV start at first daylight (7:00 'ish)
* Trucks & buggies start at 11:00 am.
* Award ceremony will be in the pits after the race."

There doesn't seem to be any indication of an M/C Class on the website. Its not a big deal either way, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a "last minute" addition for an M/C Class based on Redd's earlier post.

It was a last minute addition, it looks like someone forgot to post it on the site.

You should come race Von! Your bad-a KTM is just begging to go fast this weekend! :)

Bummer, wish we would have more than 24 hours notice... I would like to get my foot in the door at the desert stuff and this would have been fun. No way I could swing it on this notice

If its not on the site and you haven't announced it anywhere, are there going to be any participants? Its not on MotoUtah either?

I'm in the same boat as Kurt and have other obligations this weekend. If an M/C class is going to be there for the next race, let Me know! Any more races this season?

When you get the the 3 way stop in front of the peppermill casino, turn left toward Ely and Elco. Go 6 miles on that road. At the crest of the hill(approx 6 miles) hand a right onto dirt.. You should see signs at each of those turns.
