Welp, this project has changed directions since I started it so I thought it deserved a new title. Because I had the LTJ build a long time ago, I thought I'd continue that here with the LCJ build. The beginning of the project is here: http://www.rme4x4.com/showthread.php?102160-WJT-Build&highlight=WJT

After buying the Willys hood and grill and thinking about all the body work that would be needed to make them fit like I wanted, I decided that I wanted something more generic in case I ever rolled it. With all that said, here are the first pics of the transition to the LCJ.

Original pic with the fugly roll cage after adding the rear 4 link and coil overs.

Finally getting rid of the fugly roll bar.

After running the rig for a few years and slowly building and dialing in the suspension, the rig was working fairly well but there were several major problems. Last spring the heater core started leaking so I bypassed it, but this will be a 4 season Jeep so it needs to be fixed. This summer the rig started overheating and the radiator leaked. The return fuel line somehow collapsed or plugged off on the last trip out building pressure in the fuel tank. The rig has never had the inner rear fenders since I've owned it and needs those before next EJS. I want to add a rear seat for the grandkids. The rig is in desperate need of a Dupont overhaul and I don't care for the black, so the plans are to have all of this finished by February so I can do a test run or 2 before 2016 EJS.

Glad to see the cage being re-done. I've always liked the rig besides the cage that looked like it was built by me lol. Hope to see you on the trails at EJS

Good stuff!!! Anxious to see the DuPont makeover. Where are you doing that work? (I need to do mine again)

I take the Paint your own car night class at UVU when I need to body work. Great tools, good instructor help, and nice paint booths.

I will definitely have it at EJS. It's the big 50th anniversary and I think it's going to be a fun year.
