I grew up with legos, and the technics were my favorite ones. I'm thinking I may have to get a couple sets for my future kids. I learned about rack and pinion steering and suspension from my technic kits as a kid.

I wish the legos and technics where as nice when I was growing up (probably around the same time as you) as they are now. We go through the tools aisles all the time with our boys and I am always looking at the die cast cars and as we walk past the legos and technics I always notice what type of things they are doing with them now, makes me want to buy some for me (my kids would destroy them so I can't get them for them yet)

$200, that's insane. Although, I guess it drives under its own power, which is pretty cool. I guess an RC Crawler can teach kids just as well.

Legos are wicked expensive. I bet the little man has several hundred dollars worth of legos, and they only fill a small bucket.
