Anyone here living in the neighborhoods in Lehi that are being flooded by run off? We went and snapped a few pics today its pretty impressive, and they are expecting more major flooding there again tonight. As you dive thru the neighborhood you can see where the water just ripped thru peoples yard and down the street they have the whole neighborhood sand bagged. The local Elementary school is being flooded pretty good by a pretty good size river that now flows thru the field and play ground. All this is around 600 N 100 W:eek:

I personally heaved around 1k of those sand bags in that second pic. It's about 2 blocks from my house (on higher ground) That picture doesn't do it justice, either. It was freaking insane last night! I Finally made it home around 2am. I took a pic on my phone of the house in the middle of the bottom pic with almost 18" of water surrounding it. It looks like it's floating in the pic. We're going to meet up again tonight, as the AF canyon service people are going to let another surge of water down the canyon similar to the one that flooded the neighborhood . This time, at least, we'll be waiting for it!

I am glad im in PG and not in that neighborhood. Glad to hear your house is on higher ground and not in harms way. So did they give you guys a time frame of when they will be releasing water so your not standing around wait ting for a wall of water to show up?

Edit: we want to see the "Floating house" pic

The road in AF Canyon washed out in two sections that I'm aware of, My Jeep fell into one of the holes last night.

Yes I am close, I am 1/2 a block from the school West on 600 N and 1 full block from the picture taken of the house. We are not in danger but some of our neighbor hood is and already has damage to there houses. The river runs 2 houses away from us where the sandbagged the road. I would have been out there sandbagging but I was at work in the hospital on 5300 south in Murray where they also have flooding. Pretty Crazy. We helped sandbag some houses on Saturday night but the river has risen more since them. Good thing is that most or all of the houses have flood insurance and are required to carry it. I hope tonight is not any worse but it sounds like it will be.
