Lengthening CV axle assemblies?

For a 99 Ford Ranger, the problem is that the front axle shafts keep pulling out of the inner CV joint. The truck has an RCD lift on it. I think that what is happening is that the axles are becoming over extended on droop and pulling apart.

Is it possible to lengthen the axle shaft 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch to keep them from pulling apart?

They can build you some custom ones. It might be a little pricey but it will be a lot stronger too.

How about some limit straps on the suspension:p

Those are in the works too

However I still believe that lengthened axles will be needed as this kit was adapted to a vehicle that does not have live axle designed 4wd system like the RCD kit was intended for

We had some done by CV Axle Express... they worked out OK... they actually broke in the middle of a 4 hour endurance race :( The welds were a bit scary? I think they actually sent them out to be worked over and they built the ends?

I've seen people put spacers on the Chevy CV axles but they are a little different setup. I'm not sure if you could put them on the Ranger axles. You could always find a dana 44 to stuff up in there. I know.... wishful thinking.
