That way he can mount his GoPro to it and make kick-ass videos like this one:

(I really like this video.)

That's some killer footage. It really puts the obstacles into perspective. I'd love a RC heli, I've looked into it quite a bit, but it's a lot of work and $.

tacoman99 has a killer setup. I haven't seen any recent footage he's taken with it, but I'll be it looks awesome.

Don't use a helicopter for filming... use a quad rotor drone. They are way more stable and easier to fly. A coworker brought one in and it was impressive. If you walked up to it and pushed it away it would stabilize immediately. Pretty cool stuff.

It's not that bad to need a strap. Especially on a 4 door jk.

Agreed, but for most of those guys it was likely their first time and are practicing the "better safe than sorry" mindset. I know my first time going up that I had a winch hooked up to my front bumper from above "just in case".

I believe that is what this company uses, and that's what I meant when I said helicopter.

That's steelbender. I believe the obstacle is called "the wall."

It is Steel Bender, but this obstacle is The Fall and is also shown from 0:20 to 0:24. There is an obstacle on this trail called The Wall, but it is earlier in the trail and you drive up it rather than down. You can see The Wall in this video from 0:36 to 0:51.

On the EJS, the officials were all too happy to throw a strap on your rear bumper even if you didn't request one. They did it for me, for example, even though I knew I didn't really need one.
