I have a Lexan windshield...it's very bendy. So it would seem that a hood made of Lexan would be able to withstand getting hit and returning to it's original state! Buy it!:D

I've seen one get "soggy" and sag down over the top of the engine in the heat of the summer. (plus the heat from the engine) That's the total of my experience with 'em.

I wonder if you braced it with a non-bendy metal, mayhap that might help the sogginess. ;)

The heat of the summer sags them out. We had one on an older version of the commando, and it sagged out in the heat, as well as cracked in the cold.

Look at some of the old hammer down vids and you will see them breaking in moderate temps on trails when hit by a rock or something, also on the supercrawl 1 video as well.

I like replacement steel or fiberglass (fiberglass with fenders in it for more clearance) , or if you have some cash and a TJ the AEV highline kit hood is pretty cool (probably want the whole kit though)

Yep, yours is the one I was thinking of. IIRC, it was when we went to that furnace the locals call Cougar Buttes when it melted over the top of the engine. :D (114 degrees during the day, that was nutty)

BR TECH is Brock Racing technologies up in Evanston. I have had quite a few of their hoods on the ol purple turd. First hood lasted about a week after Randyfrom Randy's R&P fell through it putting up a banner in his booth.

Went through two more in the following year. They are cool for sure-but don't take a hard roll over too well. Make sure you carry a trash bag to pick up ALL the pcs..............

Only 114 ? . Some of those stinking events had to be planned by Terrorists to torture us. Like phoenix in august, two years ago? who does that?

Maybe it was 117? Memory's fuzzy when it involves heat exhaustion.

Heat causes exacerbations with EVERYTHING! It's not right. I like to stay north of I-70 after about mid-May

Phoenix is ridiculous though. I bought an FSJ there in August, 126* (on the thermometers, not sure it acutally WAS that hot). It was retarded.

What's your alternative??? 'glass? High-fendered glass hood? that would be sweet-looking.
