I am getting ready to start my buggy build. My plan is a smaller 2 seat Liberty buggy:

4.3 Liter TBI V6
203/205 doubler
TH 400
D60 front
14 bolt rear
Fox air shocks
4 link rear
3 link front
38.5 tires with beadlocks
Wheel base of 112-117
belly pan height of 19 ish

Any help in any of these matters is appreciated, especially the motor and primarily wiring, thanks and I'll keep you posted with pics!

Looks like a good start. Keep the progress pics coming. I think you'll want just a bit more clearance under the belly. I'm at 21" under with a 112" wheelbase and it gets hung up sometimes. Great for climbing though.

You can always pump up the shocks and suck them down when needed

Thanks. Like I said these are rough #'s, and yes I will have suck down winches on board.

Jinx

when in doubt, upgrade!

a turbo 350 might make that v6 seem like it has more power, Turbo 400 tend to steal horsepower but they are bullet proof.

something to think about.

Hey if anyone has a TH 350 long shaft for cheap my 205 came with an adapter I would be thrilled to not have to tap my 205

Got a little work done. Doubler is done, beadlocks are done, motor and axles are pulled and axles are plasma torched clean and ground with truss and diff cover mounted.

A little more done

A little more work done so far. I have my doubler built and I needed to drill and tap my 203 so I can adapt my TH400 without changing the tranny output shaft, after finishing that I was also able to get my steering ram mocked up. I was able to get my upper link tabs set and welded. Its been a little slow, the wife wants the house remodel done first? It makes no sense to me?

I was able to get my motor tranny and t case bolted up and mocked up. We also got a transfer case crossmember fabbed up and mounted. Things look like a pretty good fit although its a little tighter than I expected. Also received a few more parts for later.
